Susan Quilliam, a relationships coach who runs courses in online dating, said women might be more likely to contact a man who mentions a divorce because this offers reassurance that he is now single.
“In my courses I get a lot of enquiries about how to know whether people are single from their online profile, and most of those enquiries come from women.
The perfect, gorgeous woman for you could be just a year or two over your age limit, so think about expanding those preferences. You are pretty much guaranteed more communication if you have a nice mix of photos displayed. One final piece of advice: You have to stand out, so be interesting.
